Drives for Vercel Sandbox are now in public beta

Vercel published a changelog entry stating that Drives for Vercel Sandbox are now in public beta. The entry is dated September 22, 2026, and appears on Vercel's changelog under the title "Drives for Vercel Sandbox are now in public beta." Beyond confirming the public beta status of Drives within Vercel Sandbox, the provided source text does not describe the feature's functionality, storage characteristics, configuration options, regional availability, or any pricing terms. Because the excerpt is limited to the announcement itself, the concrete change is the shift of Drives for Vercel Sandbox into public beta. No performance figures, capacity limits, version numbers, or integration details are stated in the source, so none can be reported here. The source likewise does not indicate whether the beta is gated, how long it will run, or what feedback channels exist. Developers who already use Vercel Sandbox are the audience named by the product framing, and the only source-grounded consequence is that Drives are now available to them in public beta rather than in an earlier access stage.
