The U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) announced on Thursday the arrest of Jacob Butler, a 23-year-old Canadian from Ottawa, for allegedly operating the Kimwolf distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) botnet. Butler, also known as Dort, has been charged with offenses related to the development and operation of the botnet, which is assessed to be a variant of AISURU.
