Notekeeper: a Google Keep wall for your Obsidian vault
Notekeeper, a free and open-source Obsidian plugin, turns your vault into a sticky-note wall. It allows you to pin notes, color-code them by project or mood, and capture quick thoughts in one input box. The default view displays curated sticky notes with slight rotations, mimicking real Post-its. Pinned notes float to the top with a 3D pushpin and lift on hover. You can choose from eight backgrounds (cork, slate, blueprint, chalkboard, paper, linen, graph, whiteboard) or a Theme setting that adapts to light/dark mode. For a broader view, switch to a dense card grid—a Pinterest-style masonry of every note, sorted by modified, created, or title. Three densities (comfortable, compact, list view) let you balance breathing room and information density. The capture box, inspired by Google Keep, includes a title, body, optional pin, optional color, and auto-saves when it loses focus. Pressing Enter creates the note. The plugin is available now on GitHub.
Obsidian users get a flexible, visual note-taking surface that mimics physical sticky notes.
