Process financial documents using Amazon Bedrock Data Automation

Amazon Bedrock Data Automation has been updated to handle four common financial document types: bank statements, W-2 forms, 1099-B tax forms, and vendor contracts. The feature uses custom extraction capabilities to accurately pull information from these complex documents, which often have varying layouts and data fields. The blog post details the challenges in processing such documents, including inconsistent formatting and embedded tables, and explains how Bedrock Data Automation addresses them through machine learning models trained on financial data. The outcome is improved accuracy and efficiency in document processing, allowing developers to automate tasks like expense reporting, tax form processing, and contract analysis. This update is available now for AWS customers using Amazon Bedrock.
